I am now using a shareware registration service run by Kee Nethery <kee@kagi.com>. The big advantage for you (and me) is that you can pay shareware fees with cash, a check, or your credit card (VISA, MasterCard and American Express -- don't worry, your card number is encrypted). You also have the choice between mailing, faxing and emailing your order (of course fax & email don't work for checks and cash).
To register my shareware applications, use the Register program that comes with the software. Send the form together with your payment to:
Kagi Shareware
1442-A Walnut Street #392-TS
Berkeley, California, 94709-1405
USA
For credit card payments, send the form via Email to shareware@kagi.com or by FAX to (+1 from outside USA) 510 652 6589. Checks should be made out to “Kagi Shareware” and should be in US dollars. Kagi Shareware can send a paper receipt for $1 extra (check the “Paper Receipt” box in the “Register” program if you want one).
Contacting the author
Please note that Kagi Shareware is only a registration service, NOT a software publisher. The above addresses are for sending payment only. If you have questions or comments about my applications, you should contact me directly by internet e-mail:
setsu@kagi.com
E-mail sent to this address is forwarded to me wherever I am.
If you do not have e-mail, you can also send snail-mail to me at
Takashi Suzuki
338-45 Miyagawa Haruno-cho
Shuchi-gun Shizuoka 437-0604
JAPAN
Please do NOT send shareware payments directly to me. All shareware payments should be sent to Kagi Shareware as per the instructions on the registration form.
After Registering
You'll receive Bin-Hexed UnProtect file via e-mail or snail-mail (floppy disk). Decode it by using StuffIt Expander and put it inside the same folder with my application. Then my application become fully-functional. Your UnProtect file is still valid even if I release new version.
Although some shareware authors send a floppy disk with the latest version to registered users, please note that I do NOT. Soon after I release a new version, I inform you by e-mail that it is available on the internet archives and online services. With time, new versions propagate to BBSs, User's Groups, and some periodic CD-ROMs as well.
Other software from me
I have written other software for your Mac. You can get it on the World Wide Web at http://www.tcp-ip.or.jp/~setsu/index.html.
